About the Program
Join us for a discussion on how hashtags and emojis are currently being used by companies and under what circumstance they can function as trademarks. Trademark use and clearance issues relating to hashtags and emojis, as well as potential false advertising claims that can arise through the use of hashtags and emojis will also be discussed. The panel will also examine the widespread use of social media marketing by businesses and the related benefits and risks from the perspective of in-house counsel and business people.
