Brooklyn Law School offers current students the opportunity to specialize in one of six areas of law and earn a certificate in addition to their degree.

Entrepreneurship Law

Brooklyn Law School offers a Certificate for current Brooklyn Law School students interested in exploring legal issues surrounding entrepreneurship and preparing to represent new ventures for start-ups and growing commercial and not-for-profit companies.

Business Law

Brooklyn Law School offers a Certificate in Business Law for those current students who intend to practice in the business law area. Our curricular offerings and esteemed faculty make Brooklyn Law School the singular choice for the study of business law. We engage students in a vibrant intellectual community that is directly connected to the centers of world commerce in New York.

Criminal Law

Many Brooklyn Law School students express an interest in practicing in areas involving criminal law. Criminal law practice demands rigorous training and comprehensive experience. Our learning labs are the nation’s busiest courts, agencies and D.A.’s offices, just minutes from the Law School. Our professors are prominent scholars, defense attorneys and prosecutors who know every inch of the terrain.

Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law

Brooklyn Law School is emerging as a leader in intellectual property law and digital-age technology. Current students will learn from scholars who are staking out new ground, and will work with Silicon Alley entrepreneurs who bring real world issues to the classroom.

International Law

Our program focuses on public international law and private transactions law, and we excel in both. We prepare our students for a range of career options, whether working with an NGO, advocating for the rights of new immigrants, or structuring complex business deals for a multinational corporation

Real Estate Law

There is no better venue for the study of real estate law than the world’s metropolis. Our renowned faculty of experts, broad curriculum, strong community connections, and prominent alumni in the field give our students the edge they need in a competitive marketplace.
