International Intellectual Property
This course provides students with an introduction to the ever-growing area of international intellectual property law. After a basic overview of the primary subjects of intellectual property law (copyright, trademark,patent and geographical indications), international law and international trade concepts, the course turns to the growing body of international decisions and policies impacting these topics. We will also cover the international organizations involved both developing international principles and enforcing intellectual property treaties.
Letter grade only. Students will be required to complete a take-home exam or paper.
