Clinic - Health Law Practicum

Credits: 3.00
Faculty: Karen Porter

Students should have some knowledge of the health law field. This clinic provides students with the opportunity to gain additional practice experience in health law. Students may earn 3 credits by working for organizations and government agencies dealing with health care issues. Students must devote a minimum of 12 hours per week at the placement and are required to participate in a monthly seminar to be scheduled at a later time. Students interested in the clinic should submit a clinic application, resume and transcript with a short cover letter expressing interest in particular placements to the clinic office. This will start the process of placement selection.

Enrollment notes:

There is no seminar requirement; however, students will meet periodically with Professor Porter.

Grading and Method of Evaluation:

Letter grade with pass/fail option.
