The Federal Unsubsidized Loan is available to eligible students regardless of financial need (based on the FAFSA).
Students may borrow up to $20,500 in a Federal Unsubsidized Loan per year.
As of July 1, 2016, the Federal Unsubsidized Loan has a fixed interest rate of 5.31%.
Students cannot exceed a maximum federal loan aggregate of $138,500.
This includes undergraduate loans.
Borrowers are responsible for all interest that accrues while in school.
