Your Application Procedures

Brooklyn Law School offers a variety of options for applicants, including an Accelerated 2-year J.D. program (full-time only), a standard 3-year J.D. program (full-time only), our 4-year Evening J.D. program (part-time only), an LL.M. program for foreign-trained lawyers (full- and part-time enrollment), an Early Decision program, transfer admissions, options for non-U.S. applicants, and non-degree programs. We invite you to learn more about these options below.

  • August 1 deadline for fall admission; January 2 deadline for spring admission

    Additional materials required from applicants applying for admission as visiting nonmatriculants include:

    • A letter from the applicant explaining the reasons for requesting admission;
    • A letter from the Dean’s Office of the law school where the applicant is enrolled certifying that the applicant is a student in good standing, that he or she has permission to visit at our school for a stated period of time, and that the credits earned at Brooklyn Law School will be applied toward the candidate’s degree requirements at the other school; 
    • An official academic transcript of the applicant's law school record.
  • August 1 deadline for fall admission; January 2 deadline for spring admission

    Additional material required for applicants applying for admission as special nonmatriculants include:

    • A letter from the applicant explaining the reasons for requesting admission;
    • An official law school transcript indicating the award of a J.D. degree and the date it was conferred.
