Our Visiting Scholars are international academics, lawyers, practitioners, judges, or government officials visiting the law school for periods that range from a few weeks to an academic year. They have full access to the Brooklyn Law School library and its materials. They may attend school conferences and other events, and may also audit classes, with the instructor’s permission and as space permits.
We are unable to provide housing or office space for our Visiting Scholars. Read more about off-campus housing options.
Program Fees: Visiting Scholars are charged a fee of $250 per month to participate in the Visiting Scholar and Research Fellow Program at Brooklyn Law School. The Office of International Programs charges $150 for the processing of visa eligibility forms (the DC-2019). These fees are mandatory and will not be waived.
To apply, please complete our application form.
Application Deadlines: May 1 for the fall semester or academic year; Sept. 1 for the spring semester; Feb. 1 for the summer.
