Members of the Class of 2011 commemorated their time at Brooklyn Law School through the annual Class Gift. The Class raised funds in honor of two late fellow classmates, Alison Matela ’11 and Justin Ingerman ’12. Students, along with faculty, staff, and alumni, donated funds to engrave a granite stone in the newly reconstructed plaza with the words, “Class of 2011 Gift in Loving Memory of Justin Ingerman and Alison Matela.” The remaining funds will be donated in their memory to Brooklyn Law School to support scholarships.

The Class Gift continues a three-year tradition that began with the Class of 2009, which planted trees in the courtyard, and continued in 2010, when the Class created a bronze plaque that hangs in the library as a good luck charm for students and the entire BLS community.
