John Pfaff - Visiting Professor of Law
Professor of Law, Fordham University School of Law Professor Pfaff teaches criminal law, sentencing law, and law and economics. Before coming to Fordham Law School, he was the John M. Cape Town Convention (CTC) U.S. Moot Court

Join us for a special mooting event between students from Brooklyn Law Schooland Fordham Law School – on a cross border insolvency legal problem, beforesitting judges, under the Cape Town Convention and its Aircraft Protocol (CTC) The mooting problem will involve cross-border insolvency arising CTC.It will be held under the auspices of the Cape Town Convention Academic Project(CTCAP), which is a joint undertaking between UNIDROIT and the University ofCambridge, with the Aviation Working Group as a founding sponsor. See CTCAP.org The advocates will be members of the moot court honor societies of Brooklyn LawSchool and Fordham University School of Law. The US moot is part of a series which has held events at Cambridge (Oxford v.Cambridge), National University Singapore (Singapore mooting society v. Malaysianmooting society), and McGill University. The Constitution and the Court in Times of Crisis

Please join us for Brooklyn Law School’s annual program in observance of Constitution Day.   The Supreme Court will begin its 2020 term on Monday, October 5, and will address constitutional issues related to the pandemic and election that are currently roiling the country. BLS Professors Susan Herman, William Araiza, and Wilfred Codrington will explore the role of the courts, especially the Supreme Court, in deciding public health and voting rights issues, and discuss some other groundbreaking cases on the Supreme Court’s docket in 2020 and 2021.
