About the Discussion
Recent months have seen major developments across the spectrum of bankruptcy cases. Congress recently enacted the Small Business Reorganizations Act of 2019. That Act seeks to make it possible for small firms to restructure and may point the way to innovations for midsize firms. On the other end of the spectrum, mass torts and wildfires have led large, otherwise healthy firms to seek bankruptcy protection. What lessons can the small learn from the large, and vice versa?
Professor Barry L. Zaretsky, a member of the Brooklyn Law School faculty for 19 years, was a teacher and mentor to countless Brooklyn Law School students and a distinguished bankruptcy and commercial law scholar. His work inside and outside the classroom bridged the worlds of theory and practice.
