Civil Practice Workshop

Aspects of state and/or federal pretrial civil practice are studied including drafting pleadings, preparation and critique of summons and complaints, discovery, and settlement. Students perform litigation tasks on simulated civil case files. Both the interpersonal and technical elements of legal practice are explored.

Grading and Method of Evaluation:
Letter grade with pass/fail option. A paper is required which may be used to satisfy the UCWR. Pre-requisite: Civil Procedure.

• Civil Procedure must have been taken previously.
