Mark Jackson

Biography

Mark D. Jackson is a Partner in Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP’s Real Estate practice. He is a goal-focused real estate attorney and former general counsel with deep experience in complex commercial leasing, large-scale mixed-use developments, construction coordination, entitlements, stakeholder negotiations, and real estate operations. Mark has served as counsel to several of New York City’s most significant mixed-use commercial districts, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Two Trees’ DUMBO and Domino waterfront properties, and Jamestown’s Industry City, where he helped oversee legal matters across development, leasing, construction, operations, and financing-related work. Prior to practicing law, Mark worked as a construction manager with Lend Lease, giving him a practical understanding of development execution and project delivery.

Purchase and Sale Agreement Experience:

Mark has experience supporting purchase and sale transactions involving a range of New York real estate assets, including the sale of a commercial condominium unit in SoHo, residential apartment and home sales, refinance-related transactions, and land acquisitions in Sunset Park connected to the broader Industry City campus. His PSA-related work is informed by his broader background in development counsel, leasing, title and due diligence coordination, construction and operational issues, and stakeholder management. This experience positions him to contribute effectively to larger acquisition and disposition matters, particularly transactions involving mixed-use assets, development sites, commercial condominium interests, and properties requiring careful coordination among business, financing, diligence, and closing teams.
