Brooklyn Law School is family friendly

As student parents, get support and comfortable housing for your family.

Brooklyn Law School provides family housing for admitted students who qualify. Any of our studios or one-bedroom apartments can be used for family housing. We offer on-campus housing in both furnished and unfurnished apartments, as well as off-campus housing available through real estate brokers.

Qualifications for Family Housing

Students applying for family housing should note the following requirements:

  • In the case of any family, an affidavit must be enclosed from both adult members of the family, declaring that the applicants share a qualifying family relationship, evidenced by a significant emotional commitment on the part of the adult members of the family; and
  • In the case of a minor child, a birth certificate, adoption papers, or evidence that an adult member of the family is the minor child’s guardian.

Responsibility of Licensee

The obligation to pay rent for families residing in Law School residence halls will be the sole responsibility of the licensee of the family. The School will look solely to the licensee of the family to fulfill that obligation. No relief from the obligation will be available for the licensee if his or her status in the family changes during the license period. All applications for family housing will be reviewed by the Office of Student Affairs before being approved.
