Real Estate Finance

This course will examine modern real estate financing techniques, with an emphasis on the practical considerations that influence the developer, the owner, the investor, and the lender as they act within the framework of the applicable law. Topics to be explored include permanent and construction financing, sale-leasebacks, leasehold mortgages, wraparound and other secondary financing, tax shelters, equity financing, securitization, and defaults and workouts.
