Reunions Reimagined
On Sept. 30, 2026, Brooklyn Law School will mark 125 years since the first day of classes in 1901. On that exact day, generations of alumni, students, faculty, and friends will pause to honor the institution’s founding moment—a shared beginning that has grown into a global community.
And then, just one day later, that celebration continues.
On Oct. 1, 2026, Reunions 2026 will begin.
In the heart of Brooklyn, the Law School will open its doors for a multi-day reunion experience designed not only to bring alumni back to campus, but to extend the meaning of the 125th Anniversary into a living, collective return—across classes, across decades, and across generations.
This reimagined format reflects both the scale of the milestone year and the voices of alumni who have long expressed a desire for a more accessible, more expansive way to reconnect.
"We consistently heard from alumni who wanted to come back and reconnect, but the format just didn’t make it easy," said Katie Camuso, Associate Director of Alumni Engagement. "With the 125th Anniversary, we knew we had an opportunity to do something truly special—something that honors the history of the institution while bringing more people into the experience."
A Weekend That Extends a 125-Year Legacy
Reunions 2026 will take place from Thursday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 3, transforming what was once a single evening into a full weekend of connection, reflection, and celebration.
The weekend will begin with an all-class reception on Thursday evening, bringing alumni across every era of the Law School together in a shared moment of return. As the first official reunion event following the Law School’s exact 125th anniversary date, it is intended to feel both celebratory and connective—a continuation of the milestone rather than a separate occasion.
Friday’s programming is expected to focus on the intellectual and professional life of the Law School, with proposed opportunities for alumni to visit classes, hear from faculty during talks and panel discussions, connect with student organizations, and gather for a Law School update with President and Joseph Crea Dean David D. Meyer and faculty members. Milestone reunion classes will also have opportunities to gather for dedicated evening celebrations and class-specific events.
Saturday will shift toward more family-oriented and community-centered programming, welcoming alumni alongside spouses, partners, children, and loved ones. Proposed activities include a Family Fun Run, community service opportunities, family-friendly gatherings, and a law school admissions session offering tips and guidance for prospective students and families. Additional milestone reunion gatherings and class celebrations are also expected to take place throughout the day and evening.
Programming for the weekend is still evolving as the Law School works with departments across campus and gathers feedback from alumni and Reunion Committee members to shape additional events and experiences.
While many details are still being refined, the overall vision is clear: to create a reunion experience unlike anything Brooklyn Law School has hosted before—one that invites alumni to engage with the institution, one another, and the broader Law School community in new and meaningful ways.
Across the weekend, special emphasis will be placed on milestone reunion years—5th, 10th, 15th, and up to 50th—creating opportunities for classmates to reconnect around the shared history that first brought them together.
"Milestone reunions carry an emotional weight," Camuso said. "As we celebrate 125 years of Brooklyn Law School, we want to honor those shared milestones in a way that feels deeper, more connected, and more meaningful for every class."
Shaping the Next Chapter Together
While Reunions 2026 marks the debut of this expanded format, it is also the beginning of a continuing evolution shaped by alumni voices.
As planning continues, the Law School is actively inviting alumni to help shape the future of reunions.
Reunion Committee members will be reaching out to classmates to gather ideas and help plan signature experiences for their reunion years. Alumni are also encouraged to share feedback, programming ideas, and suggestions for what they would most like to see during Reunions 2026 by emailing the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Office at alumni@brooklaw.edu.
Additionally, as the Law School approaches its 125th Anniversary year, alumni are invited to share memories, stories, and reflections from their time at Brooklyn Law School through a brief online survey.
"This is really about building something together," Camuso said. "We’re honoring 125 years of history—but we’re also listening closely to what alumni want for the next chapter."
As Brooklyn Law School moves from its 125th anniversary day into a weekend of reunion and return, Reunions 2026 becomes more than a schedule of events. It becomes a continuation of the story—one that began in 1901 and is still being written today.
