Brooklyn Law School has once again secured its place at the top of the real estate law world. In a new ranking by preLaw magazine, published by the National Jurist, the Law School earned an A+ at the top of its in Real Estate Law—marking the second year in a row it has received this honor

The rankings recognize the strength of the Law School’s cutting-edge programs in business and real estate law, as well as the achievements of graduates who have built impressive careers in this fast-evolving field. "As markets shift and regulatory frameworks grow more complex, law schools are expanding real estate law education through coursework, clinics and alumni engagement that reflect the scale and impact of modern real estate practice," the article states.

Among the Law School’s standout alumni in real estate is Larry Silverstein ’55, who received the Alumnus of the Year Award at the 2026 annual Alumni Dinner in recognition of his decades-long impact on New York City real estate, including leadership in the redevelopment of the World Trade Center.

Silverstein is one of our "Titans of Real Estate" who have shaped the New York City skyline and beyond over the years and helped cement Brooklyn Law School’s reputation as a launchpad for real estate leaders. These alumni work across a range of specialties—from real estate financing, affordable housing, and economic development—demonstrating the breadth of influence our graduates bring to the field.

The Law School’s commitment to real estate law extends to current students, as well. The BLS Real Estate Society, which engages more than 250 students, hosts career and alumni events, networking opportunities, and informational sessions to help students explore pathways in this dynamic industry.
