Cape Town Convention (CTC) U.S. Moot Court

Join us for a special mooting event between students from Brooklyn Law School
and Fordham Law School – on a cross border insolvency legal problem, before
sitting judges, under the Cape Town Convention and its Aircraft Protocol (CTC)

The mooting problem will involve cross-border insolvency arising CTC.
It will be held under the auspices of the Cape Town Convention Academic Project
(CTCAP), which is a joint undertaking between UNIDROIT and the University of
Cambridge, with the Aviation Working Group as a founding sponsor. See CTCAP.org

The advocates will be members of the moot court honor societies of Brooklyn Law
School and Fordham University School of Law.

The US moot is part of a series which has held events at Cambridge (Oxford v.
Cambridge), National University Singapore (Singapore mooting society v. Malaysian
mooting society), and McGill University.

The moot will be judged by:

  1. The Hon. Judge Shelly Chapman (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, SDNY)(ret.)
  2. The Hon. Elizabeth Stong (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, EDNY)
