Survival Skills for Public Service Lawyers
In your law school externships and clinics, you had a small number of clients and projects and had countless hours to dedicate to each of them, but now that you have your dream job in public service, you feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities and pressures of the position. You’re wondering how you can maintain the same work quality and care for your clients with a vastly increased workload. This practical CLE program will offer you a tune-up on case management skills as well as written and oral communication.
Topics covered:
• Improving writing and analytical skills under time pressure
• Case management skills
• Maintaining professional ethics in a fast-paced environment
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and others

The program will be followed by a networking reception.
Materials will be distributed digitally prior to the event. Please print out a hard copy if you would like to have one as a reference. A limited number of printouts will be available upon email request to cle@brooklaw.edu by deadline of October 11.
CLE Credit
This program offers 1.5 CLE credits in the State of New York. The credits are transitional and non-transitional and the categories are Skills (1) and Ethics (0.5). Partial credit is not available.
Registration Information
The cost for this program is $30 regardless of whether you attend for CLE credit. No cost for students.
