Law School Access to Justice Conference
By invitation only
The New York State Permanent Commission on Access to Justice will hold the Eighth Annual Law School Conference on May 14, 2019, hosted by Interim Dean Maryellen Fullerton at Brooklyn Law School. Chief Judge Janet DiFiore will be delivering opening remarks.
This year’s Conference, “Law School Innovations: Leveraging Technology and Data to Expand Access to Justice,” will challenge Conference participants to think about how law schools and the legal community can collaborate, advocate, and use technology and empirical studies to address the justice gap.
This year’s plenary panel will explore the issues and challenges presented by empirical studies and data on the nature and scope of the justice gap, how such research can inform solutions, and how technological innovations can address the justice gap. The Conference participants will have the opportunity to consider these issues and challenges, and propose solutions, in their work group sessions.
