Legal Methods: Practice and Process
This course is about American law and the process of its development. The course examines legal rules from a context established by the moral, economic, political, and social world out of which law arises and in which it intervenes. It focuses on adjudicated cases and explores the values that influence judicial decisions. The application of statutory law to particular cases is also covered, in addition to an introduction to the study of law, case analysis, professionalism, legal research, and the development of precedent. Grading and Method of Evaluation: Letter grade. Final exam.
