Copyright Law in the Global Context

There has never been a better time to study the role and operation of copyright law in the global context. It is an area of law that is evolving rapidly throughout the world, particularly in the nations with the world's largest economies - the United States and China - whose copyright regimes will be the focus of this course. The course will give students an understanding of both systems by comparing and contrasting the Copyright Law of the PRC and the United States Copyright Act and by exploring key case law developments. There are no prerequisites for this course.
