Advanced Externship Seminar

Students with prior clinic or externship experience are supported in their second or third externship with a companion Advanced Externship Seminar. Advanced seminars are generally oriented around either: (a) skills, such as the Transactional Law and Advanced Lawyering Skills seminars, or (b) practice areas, such as the seminars for placements in Arts & Entertainment, Corporate Counsel, Government Litigation and Counsel, Individual Rights and Representation, Securities and Market Regulation, and Solo and Small Firm Practice. The advanced seminars offered each semester will vary depending on student enrollment and the nature of the placements where students are working. Grading and Method of Evaluation: Letter grade only. Students will be assesed based on several reflective writing assignments, in-class exercises and presentations, professionalism, and class participation.
