Adv Topic in Land Use Sem
This class will explore key court decisions and local government decisions that address the growth and development of cities and towns, using NYC as an example and drawing from the Professor's work experience. Class discussions will focus on the effect of regulations on access to affordable housing, regulations that may affect urban displacement, the proximity of city residents to fresh food and land use laws that affect urban employment and coastal resiliency. We will look at local regulations and specific New York development projects and determine how land use law was applied. This course includes a final paper which can be use to satisfy the Additional ULWR.
