Biography
Kristin Whiting joined the Career Development Center in November 2025 and brings more than twenty years of experience across intellectual property, litigation, technology transactions and nonprofit and museum work to her role as Associate Director of Career Development. She served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Sotheby’s, Associate General Counsel at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and has provided consulting and legal services to emerging companies, artists, and nonprofits. Kristin began her career as a litigation and intellectual property associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed after clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. She holds an LLM in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Tech and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she graduated cum laude. A former adjunct professor and long-time mentor, Kristin looks forward to helping students explore careers in intellectual property, technology and the arts and cultural sector, and to supporting them as they navigate their professional development.
