Maria Chiara E. Parisi
Biography
Chiara Parisi is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Legal Writing and teaches Gateway to Lawyering I & II.
Her research examines the intersection of education and civil rights law, with scholarship published in the Oxford Handbook of U.S. Education Law, the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal, and the Notre Dame Journal of Legislation.
Before joining her current role, Professor Parisi was a Faculty Fellow at New England Law, where she taught Torts, Education & the Law, and Civil Rights. She also previously served as a Legal Policy Analyst at the Opportunity Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational equity.
Professor Parisi began her legal studies at Brooklyn Law School and earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She also holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
