Stan Wilcox ’88
Executive Vice President of Regulatory Affairs

Stan Wilcox serves as second executive vice president of regulatory affairs at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Reporting directly to President Mark Emmert, he is tasked with addressing all matters related to regulatory strategies consistent with the needs of the membership as well as oversight of academic and membership affairs, the Eligibility Center, and enforcement. He leads a team of individuals responsible for investigating potential violations involving member schools to uphold integrity and fair play among the NCAA membership. He also oversees legislative interpretations, waiver requests, and academic and amateurism certification.
Prior to joining the NCAA, Stan served as the director of athletics at Florida State University from 2013 to 2016 before being promoted to vice president. During his successful five-year tenure, the Seminoles won the School’s third football national championship in 2013, the University’s first-ever women’s soccer national championship in 2014 and the School’s first-ever NCAA title in softball in 2018. Prior to his time at Florida State, he served in senior positions at Duke, Notre Dame, and the Big East Conference.
Stan has held several national leadership positions including membership on the NCAA Football Oversight Committee and LEAD1 Board of Directors. He helped to create the Minority Opportunity Athletics Association and subsequently served as a member of its board. From 2003 to 2005 he was president of the Black Coaches Association (BCA).
He graduated from Notre Dame in 1981 with a degree in economics. At Notre Dame, he helped the men’s basketball program to a four-year 92-26 record and four NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 1978 Final Four. In 1988, Stan earned a juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. As a graduate, Stan has participated in Brooklyn Law School presentations and is a member of the 1901 Society. Stan is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Ashley Fisher ’09
Senior Counsel, Global Brand, Marketing and Sponsorship
Visa
Ashley Fisher is senior counsel for global brand, marketing and sponsorships at Visa, based out of headquarters in Foster City, California. For the past six years, Ashley has provided legal counsel to the Marketing, Corporate Communications and Global Sponsorships teams advising on a wide range of advertising and marketing matters. As legal advisor to the Global Sponsorships team, she provides on the ground legal advice in connection with Visa’s sponsorship of sports events, including the Olympic Games, the World Cup, and the Super Bowl. Ashley has enjoyed the opportunity to be an embedded part of the team traveling the world, bringing the value of Visa to life at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 and FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019.
Prior to moving in-house at Visa, Ashley was a litigation associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York, where she worked on a variety of false advertising, privacy, trademark and financial services litigations and regulatory investigations. Directly after graduation from Brooklyn Law School, Ashley clerked for the Honorable James O. Browning in the District of New Mexico, her home state. Ashley and her co-clerk Jeff Fisher fell in love during their clerkship and have now been married for nine years. Judge Browning officiated their wedding and never forgets to call Ashley and Jeff on their birthdays (two weeks apart) every year.
Ashley studied English literature and film at Barnard College. During her time at Brooklyn Law, she served as the Executive Board Secretary of the Student Bar Association (SBA), the Trial Advocacy Coordinator on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society, an editor for the Journal of Law and Policy, and editor-in-chief of the yearbook. During her tenure on the SBA, Ashley was one of the original organizers of the Sara Robbins Memorial Spelling Bee in 2007, in honor of Professor Sara Robbins who led the law school’s library for over twenty years. Ashley continues to be an active alum, mentoring students and serving on her Reunion Committee. She is also a member of the Joralemon Society.
Jordan H. Oreck ’11

Jordan Oreck is a senior counsel at Blue Pool Capital Limited, a Hong Kong based investment manager and the family office of Joseph C. Tsai (co-founder and executive vice chairman of Alibaba Group).
At Blue Pool, Jordan’s legal practice covers virtually every practice area imaginable. As the firm’s lead transaction counsel, during his three-year tenure he has been responsible for the negotiation and execution of over one-hundred venture capital, private equity, finance/lending, real estate, and fund of funds investments in the sports, technology, media and entertainment, F&B and hospitality, art, travel, consumer, healthcare, education, and finance sectors. In addition to his transactional work, Jordan also advises on a range of philanthropic, tax, trusts and estates, immigration, compliance, and human resources matters.
Prior to joining Blue Pool, Jordan was a senior associate in the general practice/corporate law group of Sullivan & Cromwell, working primarily in the New York and Hong Kong offices with rotations in Melbourne, Sydney, and Tokyo. Before earning his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, he received a B.A. in English from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
During his time at Brooklyn Law School, Jordan served as an intern at the N.Y. Supreme Court (Commercial Division), U.S. Bankruptcy Court (S.D.N.Y.), and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review.
Jordan is admitted to practice law in New York and Hong Kong.
