Labor Law

This is the basic course in the law of labor relations in the private sector. This course surveys the more important problems of labor law but does not comprehensively cover the entire field. The focus is on the National Labor Relations Act, as amended, and the functioning of the National Labor Relations Board, which enforces the rights guaranteed to workers in the Act. The course will examine how the Act regulates the right of workers to organize, to bargain collectively through representatives of their choosing, and to engage in concerted activity for mutual aid and protection. It will familiarize students with, and prepare them to further study, this area of the law and to effectively practice labor law.

Grading and Method of Evaluation:
