Art Law Seminar

This course is designed to introduce students to advanced problems in art law and related drafting issues. The class will study the ways in which the visual arts and the law collide, and how the law regulates the creation of art, the cultural implications of art, and the art market. Areas that will be considered include copyright and fair use, moral rights, restitution and museum law, cultural property law, commercial art transactions, and rights of privacy. Grading is based on class participation and a final exam.
