    02.22.12 Twenty New BLSPI Fellows Chosen for 2012

    Brooklyn Law Students for the Public Interest (BLSPI) recently announced the recipients of the 2012 BLSPI Fellowship. The Fellowship class of 20 Brooklyn Law School students is comprised of first and second-year students, as well as one joint-degree third-year student, each of whom has demonstrated a strong commitment to furthering BLSPI’S mission, to promote and support public interest legal work at Brooklyn Law School.

    “BLSPI is excited about the 2012 Fellowship class,” said BLSPI’s co-chair Matthew Allee ’13. “Our new fellows have a range of experience and a proven track record of public service. BLSPI is honored to support their efforts this coming summer. Much credit goes to our Fellowship Chair, Rosa Cohen-Cruz ’12, who oversaw a highly successful application and selection process.”

    Recipients of the BLSPI Fellowship receive much-needed funding to pursue summer internships in public interest positions. Fellows are selected by past recipients of the Fellowship based on their commitment to furthering the public interest through their legal work. Once selected, the Fellowship class become leaders among the BLS public interest community and ambassadors for
