10.27.10 Brooklyn Educational Program on Foreclosures
    David Reiss

    Wednesday, October 27
    3:00 - 5:00 pm

    Forchelli Conference Center
    205 State Street

Moderated by Prof. David Reiss, this program will explore the consequences for tenants when a building goes into foreclosure. Panelists will discuss how the process unfolds and what remedies tenants have, including their rights to obtain repairs and prevent evictions during and after foreclosure. The program will also cover hard-to-reach homeowners who are especially vulnerable to foreclosures. They will also talk about how to engage these homeowners and review resources and specialized foreclosure prevention services provided by the City of New York and not-for-profit organizations.
