Richard A. Behrendt joined Elm Grove, WI based Annex Wealth Management as its Director of Estate Planning Services. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Director of Estate Planning at Robert W. Baird & Co. Prior to going into private practice, he worked as an estate tax attorney for 12 years at the Internal Revenue Service. (11/7/2014).

Lisa A. Bova-Hiatt was appointed General Counsel of New York State Governor Cuomo's Office of Storm Recovery, which was created to centralize recovery and rebuilding efforts in storm-affected municipalities throughout New York State. Bova-Hiatt previously served as the deputy chief in charge of eminent domain in the Tax & Bankruptcy Litigation Division at the New York Law Department. She also served as a member of "Team Staten Island," a small group organized by former Mayor Bloomberg's office after Superstorm Sandy to coordinate shelter and emergency response teams in the face of impending storms. Deborah E. Henry, founder of consulting firm Flex-Time Lawyers LLC and co-founder of secondment firm Bliss Lawyers, published a second book, Finding Bliss: Innovative Legal Models for Happy Clients and Happy Lawyers (ABA, Jan. 2015). The book, co-authored by the co-founders of Bliss Lawyers, provides creative and disruptive solutions to improve legal practice and client service by exploring seven themes including: innovation; value; predictability and trust; flexibility; talent development; diversity and inclusion; and, relationship building. Carolyn Pokorny, previously the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office, EDNY, joined Levine Lee LLP as a partner. She focuses her practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense, securities and enforcement matters, internal investigations and complex commercial litigation. During her fourteen year career at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Pokorny also held the positions of Chief, General Crimes; Senior Litigation Counsel, Public Integrity; Chief, Narcotics and the International Narcotics Strike Force; and Deputy Chief, Narcotics. Jonathan E. Silverblatt, a partner in the New York office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP in its Corporate Practice Group, was presented with a 2014 Cornerstone Award for pro bono excellence by the Lawyers Alliance for New York in October 2014. Silverblatt has been volunteering with Lawyers Alliance since 1999, and he most recently worked with the non-profits the Alliance for Coney Island and the Millennium Film Workshop. Chair of his firm’s Private Equity Practice, Silverblatt concentrates his practice on representing public and privately-held companies, private equity sponsors, and their related portfolio companies in a full range of corporate transactions. Blair W. Todt was appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, chief legal and administrative officer and secretary at WellCare Health Plans, Inc. Todt is responsible for the legal, government affairs, public policy, business development, external communications and corporate strategy functions of the company. Todt joined WellCare in 2010 and most recently served as its chief strategy and development officer. Headquartered in Tampa, FL, Wellcare provides managed care services targeted to government-sponsored health care programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, Prescription Drug Plans and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
