Naftali Dembitzer was promoted to of counsel in the New York office of DLA Piper LLP (US). He concentrates on federal and state tax matters with an emphasis on state and local income, sales/use and real estate transfer taxes; employment taxes; and tax controversy matters. (3/1/2017)

Ralph De Palma III joined Pryor Cashman LLP as of counsel in the firm’s media and entertainment group. He previously served as of counsel at Rayner Rowe, LLP and began his legal career in the business affairs department of Sony Music. He is an adjunct professor of entertainment law at Brooklyn Law School. (3/1/2017)

Lisa Koenig, partner in Fragomen’s New York office, recently traveled to Dilley, Texas with 16 colleagues to volunteer their legal services to the CARA Detention Project, which counsels women who fled the violence in the Northern Triangle Area (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras) and were detained at the South Texas Family Detention Center. Teresa Matushaj was promoted to counsel at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP. She is based in the firm’s New York office, where her practice focuses on the fields of legal ethics, professional responsibility, and e-discovery. (8/26/2016)

Steve Miller joined CBRE as Director of Marketing in the greater Washington, D.C. region, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of strategic marketing initiatives through business development, corporate communications, digital channels, and media relations. He was previously director of brand marketing and partnerships for Rediscovered Limited, a luxury hospitality firm based in Hong Kong. (7/18/2016)

Lance Olitt joined the firm of Kluger Healey, LLC as a partner. His areas of expertise include employment and commercial litigation, appearing before state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums, such as arbitration and mediation. Judy Selby was appointed managing director of BDO Consulting’s technology advisory services practice, where she provides guidance to organizations and their counsel on cyber insurance, cybersecurity, information governance, data privacy, and complex insurance issues. She was previously a partner at Baker Hostetler, where she was co-chair of the information governance team and founder of the e-discovery and technology team. (8/26/2016)

Mark Weprin joined Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the firm’s Manhattan and Albany offices. He will lobby elected officials and advise clients on regulatory and legislative issues. Weprin previously served as Governor Andrew Cuomo’s deputy secretary of legislative affairs after serving for five years on the New York City Council. (3/1/2017)
