Roselyn R. Bar was promoted to executive vice president of Martin Marietta, a leading supplier of aggregates and heavy building materials. Bar joined the company in 1994 as assistant general counsel and has held positions of increasing authority, most recently serving as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. David Edelberg, previously with Nowell Amoroso Klein Bierman, joined the Hackensack, NJ office of Sokol Behot as a partner. He focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, insolvency law, and commercial litigation. (8/26/2015)

Joseph G. Milizio, managing partner at Vishnick McGovern Milizio LLP, based in Lake Success, New York, has been named Governance Chair of the National MS Society, Long Island Chapter. In this capacity, he leads the committee that establishes and administers the proper procedures for the board of trustees; interviews and approves board candidates; and oversees board members obligations. He is a partner in the Business & Real Estate practice group and heads the LGBT practice group at Vishnick McGovern Milizio. (4/11/2015)

Karen J. Tenenbaum, who practices tax law at her firm, Tenenbaum Law, P.C., located in Melville, NY, was recognized as one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business” by Long Island Business News in October 2014. Tenenbaum’s firm was ranked as one of the “Top Ten Tax Law Firms on Long Island” by the same publication. She also co-authored an article on residency published in the September 2014 issue of The Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives and was quoted in the October 2014 issue of The Trusted Professional in an article about the Financial Literacy Committee, which she founded and currently chairs for the New York State Society of CPAs, Nassau Chapter. She was also selected as a 2014 New York Super Lawyer in the field of Tax Law. (7/13/2015)
