David Edelberg has joined the firm of Sokol Behot, LLP as partner and he will chair the firm’s bankruptcy practice. He was previously a partner at Nowell Amoroso Klein Bierman, where he served as lead counsel in the Chapter 11 reorganizations of County Inns Magazine and the Governor Morris Hotel, and participated in the reorganizations of Emerson Radio Corporation, Kiwi Airlines, Channel Home Centers, The Grand Union Company, and Union Valley Corporation. Grohman was appointed to the board of directors of the Macaulay Honors College Foundation, which seeks to attract private philanthropic support for academic programs and students at Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York. Ann MacDougall was appointed to the board of directors of Opiant Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company developing pharmacological treatments for substance abuse, addictive and eating disorders.
