Harold J. Bauman, Town Justice of Liberty, NY, was sworn in by New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Hochul as President of the New York State Magistrates Association (“NYSMA”) at its annual conference in August 2015. NYSMA provides mandatory training and continuing education opportunities for the state’s more than 3,000 town and village justices, and outreach to the communities they serve. It also makes recommendations for judicial reform and accountability. (10/30/2015)

Mark L. Zientz,/strong> has challenged the constitutionality of the Florida Workers’ Compensation law as a violation of substantive due process (14th Amendment) in Stahl v. Hialeah Hospital, case number 16-98. Based in Miami, he is an Emeritus member of the Executive Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, a former Vice-Chair of the Worker’s Compensation Rules Committee of the Florida Bar, an Arbitrator for the National Football League Players Association/Management Council, and a member of the faculty of the Workers’ Compensation Trial Advocacy Seminar.
