International Banking and Finance

This course will examine (1) international financial instruments, (2) the international operations of financial services firms and (3) international capital markets. The course will review currency exchange and the international payment system, as well as more complex financial derivatives, such as futures, options and swaps. The course will survey U.S. and EU regulation of the foreign operations of banks and securities firms. Finally, the course will examine international securities offerings and the regulation of international securities markets.
