Opportunities to Make a Difference
Brooklyn Law School’s Public Service Law Center is an important component of our curriculum and has long been one of the finest in the nation.
The Career Development Center recommends that students committed to a career—or just wanting to explore an internship or other experience—in public service, consult with the Public Service Law Center. The Office is dedicated entirely to helping you gain entry to this specific and competitive area of the law. They will introduce you to key players and organizations in the public service arena, and direct you to special sources of funding, externships, pro bono placements, fellowships and career opportunities here in New York, a national center for public interest law, or across the country. The Public Service Law Center also holds programming events throughout the year, including informational sessions with various public interest employers, resume and cover letter workshops, and brownbag lunches featuring public service practitioners.
