Hannah Cao was named one of the world's 25 best general counsel officers by the Financial Times. She is general counsel for China's Belt and Road Initiative, a government-sponsored effort to improve infrastructure and transport links between China and Eurasia. (7/20/2018)

Catherine Chen was appointed to the Baltimore City District Court by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. (7/20/2018)

Joshua Kopelowitz, a member of the litigation department at Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., was cited in a decision handed down by the New York Appellate Division, Second Department. In a matter of first impression before any appellate court in the State, the Second Department held that a provision in the lease waiving the tenant’s right to seek declaratory and Yellowstone relief was enforceable and did not violate public policy. At the very outset of the decision, the court makes specific reference to a 2014 New York Law Journal article co-written by Kopelowitz addressing the question of whether such waivers are enforceable. Seth A. Kurs, was appointed a municipal court judge in Hightstown, New Jersey in October 2017. (4/24/2018) 

Deirdre M. W. Lok was awarded the GC Impact Award by New York Law Journal, in recognition of her accomplishments as assistant director and general counsel of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale. Lok also serves as an adjunct professor and runs the elder rights clinic at Brooklyn Law School. (11/22/2017) 

Camille Joseph Varlack, has been appointed Deputy Director of State Operations within Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration. She is currently the state’s Chief Risk Officer and Special Counsel, and will continue to work in that capacity as part of her new appointment. (4/24/2018)
