Marguerite S. Dougherty was appointed an Interim NYC Civil Court Judge and is sitting in the NYC Criminal Court, Kings County. She previously served as an Executive Director and Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase. She joined JPMorgan in August 2012 as its Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for Securities Litigation. Dougherty also worked as a Senior Litigation Associate at Jones Day. She is on the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association and was a member of the Law School’s adjunct faculty, where she taught New York Civil Practice. (3/6/2015)

Patrick Fitzmaurice joined the New York office of Troutman Sanders LLP as a partner. He focuses on complex commercial litigation involving financial contracts, real estate, bankruptcy, securities, and the workout and enforcement of various types of financing transactions. David A. Fraiden, a taxi violation hearing officer in Long Island City, was profiled by the New York Daily News (Sept. 10, 2015) about his side career as a fire-breathing, bowling pin juggler on one wheel who entertains thousands of New York Jets fans at home games in MetLife Stadium. (10/5/2015)

Frank Lieto joined the Norwalk, CT firm, Goldman Gruder & Woods, LLC, as a partner and chair of its Criminal Law and Law Groups. Lieto previously worked for 12 years at the law firm he co-founded, Lieto & Greenberg LLP. He also serves as the Chairman of the Monroe Town Council and has held several other civic appointments, including membership on the Town Council Legislative and Administrative Committee, the Monroe Parks and Recreation Commission and the Economic Development Commission. Heather Miller (Siegel), senior counsel in the Boca Raton office of Broad and Cassel, was named a finalist in the South Florida Business and Wealth’s 2015 Up and Comer Awards. Miller is a member of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group where she focuses her practice on complex health care transactions on behalf of physicians and hospitals, regarding regulatory compliance and federal and state fraud and abuse issues. Sheikh, previously an associate at Togut, Segal & Segal LLP practicing in the areas of corporate bankruptcy law, joined Practical Law Company as a Senior Legal Editor, writing and editing bankruptcy resources. A division of Thomson Reuters, Practical Law provides lawyers with know-how in the form of an on-line service with checklists, practice notes, and forms to help them work more efficiently. Janine C. Waldman (Guido), previously special counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, joined GE Capital headquarters as Executive Counsel for Regulatory Affairs, where she advises on all aspects of U.S. banking laws and regulations and implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act. (11/7/2014)
