Gregory Adelstein, president and co-founder of Montreal-based iGotcha Media, was named the first-ever “Entrepreneur-in-Residence” at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal. The role includes participation in research, guiding student projects, acting as a guest lecturer and mentoring students. After working with several technology startups in Montreal, Adelstein co-founded IGotcha in 2005. It develops digital signage solutions and content, including video walls and wayfinding kiosks, (7/15/2015)

Maureen Coleman ’96 was appointed by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo as General Counsel for the Environmental Facilities Corporation. The Corporation provides low-cost capital and expert technical assistance for environmental projects in New York State. Coleman previously served Assistant Counsel to the Governor, focusing on energy and environment, and she also served at the Department of Environmental Conservation for 13 years, where she held a number of roles, including Bureau Chief of Water and Natural Resources for the Department’s Office of General Counsel. Laurie Mintzer Edberg is serving as Special Assistant to Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) for Montgomery and Howard counties in Maryland. Senator Mikulski is the senior senator from Maryland, senior ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and the longest serving woman in Congress. Edberg previously served as Senior Legislative Aide to the Montgomery County Council. (7/15/2015)

Jean Han was named a partner in the New York office of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. She is a member of the firm’s forensic, litigation and valuation services group and holds expertise in matrimonial matters, business disputes, business valuation, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, and estate and financial planning. Heath Kudler was appointed Executive Vice President, Global Repertoire Acquisition, for Warner Music Group. In this role, Kudler will expand the company’s musical portfolio by bringing new artists, labels, and master catalogs into the WMG fold. He previously held senior business and legal affairs positions at Epic Records and Island Def Jam. (4/5/2016)

Jeffrey Scott, partner in Sullivan & Cromwell’s New York City office, was recognized as one of Law360’s MVPs for 2015. Representing Barclays PLC, he convinced a New York federal judge to drop private lawsuits inspired by the exposé book Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt. (3/4/2016)

Peter Thurlow joined the New York City office of Polsinelli as shareholder. He is a patent prosecution attorney with extensive experience in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and serves on the board of directors of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. (3/4/2016)
