Karen Doyle joined the Hudson Highlands Land Trust as manager of public policy and planning, responsible for engaging village, town, city, and county representatives in sound land-use planning and natural resource protection strategies. She previously served in non-profit and governmental law offices, and represented various municipalities in land-use, zoning, public health, and environmental matters. During her career in the NYC Law Department, Doyle spent many years working with the Department of Environmental Protection on watershed protection issues. (1/22/2018)

Matthew S. Dunn, partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, was named co-chair of the firm’s immigration department. His clients include banks, global financial services companies, technology and business consultancies, advertising agencies, health care institutions, and sports and entertainment organizations. Robert Laplaca, partner at Verrill Dana, LLP, was the recipient of the firm’s 2017 Roger A. Putnam Community Service Award in recognition of his charitable work, particularly his fifteen years as a firefighter for the Weston (CT) Volunteer Fire Department. Laplaca practices commercial litigation and promotion law. (10/27/2017)  

Jennifer L. Naiburg is the new Director of Special Projects and Major Case Advisor for the Queens District Attorney's office on an interim basis. She will become the first Bureau Chief of the Supreme Court Trial Bureau in January 2019. (7/20/2018)
