Legislative Process Seminar

This seminar will examine the legislative process in action. In it, students will explore legal issues that arise in the legislative branch, including the role of lobbyists, ethical constraints on legislators, campaign finance regulation, and privileges granted to legislators. The course will also delve into questions about how different perspectives on the legislative process might influence the philosophies of judges in their roles as statutory interpreters.

Grading and Method of Evaluation:

Letter grade with pass/fail option. A paper is required.
