LATIN AMERICAN LAW STUDENT ASSOCIATION (LALSA)

Our mission is to promote the academic and professional success of our membership, while serving as a positive influence in our community and beyond.

LALSA strives to:

  • Exist within a framework of integrity, transparency, respect and cooperation;
  • Meet the specific needs of our members by hosting events such as study skills and interview preparation workshops, providing peer mentors to 1Ls, and disseminating information about employment opportunities;
  • Identify and raise awareness about the needs of communities of color and other minority groups, by hosting events such as “Street Law” and other service projects;
  • Increase the number of competent and professionally responsible Latinas and Latinos in American law schools and the U.S. legal system;
  • Bring about change, through our positive participation in the legal sphere, to meet the needs of our community.
LALSA welcome students of ALL backgrounds and persuasions to join us and enjoy the benefits of being a LALSA member.
