    12.11.13 Jane Hoffman ’84, Leader in Animal Shelter and Rescue, Profiled in New York Law Journal

    Jane Hoffman ’84 recently sat down with the New York Law Journal to describe her role as president and chair of the board of directors of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, a nonprofit organization that provides resources to approximately 150 animal shelters and rescue groups.

    The wide-ranging interview touches on Hoffman’s shift from private practice to the nonprofit world ("Do you want to die saying you have the most stuff, or do you want to die doing something you really care about?"), as well as the specific legal skills underlying her leadership. Among them, she says, is a resistance to intimidation: “It's hard to intimidate a lawyer!”
