    05.10.13 Judge Edward Korman ’66 Reflects on Career in New York Law Journal Profile

    In a front-page New York Law Journal profile, U.S. District Court Judge Edward Korman ’66 – a member of the Law School’s Board of Trustees – discussed his career on the bench.  Judge Korman, who has tackled politically challenging issues, most recently took on the federal government in a decision in Tummino v. Hamburg (12-cv-763), which ordered the Obama administration to grant access to emergency contraception—the so-called "morning-after pill"—without prescription or age restrictions. Judges "basically try and understand what happened here and what [administrators] are doing,” he said. “But, again, the test is not what you would do if you were the administrator."
