Professor Susan N. Herman, Centennial Professor of Law and President of the American Civil Liberties Union, will discuss her new book, Taking Liberties: The War on Terror and the Erosion of American Democracy (Oxford University Press, 2011). Using themes from her book as a springboard, faculty members will address three areas affected by post-9/11 laws.
• Professor Derek Bambauer will speak on the Internet,
• Professor Maryellen Fullerton will address immigration, and
• Professor Nelson Tebbe will discuss the free exercise of religion.
