Carlos Esquer, of Los Mineros (the National Miners Union in Mexico), will speak about the attacks against union workers in Cananea and what the unions have done to fight back against Grupo Mexico (the 3rd largest mining corporation in the world) and the Mexican government. Lunch will be provided, and questions will be facilitated through a student translator.
