About Professor Zaretsky
Professor Barry Zaretsky was a treasured member of the BLS community who died suddenly in 1997, but left a lasting legacy. A distinguished bankruptcy and commercial law scholar, he was a teacher and mentor to countless BLS students.

“It is touching that the current students, none of whom had the chance to meet Barry, have decided to dedicate the Race Judicata to his honor,” noted Professor Mary Ellen Fullerton. Barry was a dedicated jogger who participated enthusiastically in past races. His family will be present for the event.

About Variety
Proceeds of the race will go to Variety—The Children's Charity of New York, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping handicapped, underprivileged, at-risk and sick children in the tri-state area. Please visit www.varietyny.org.
