New Developments at Brooklyn Law School Library
The Brooklyn Law School Library had a busy summer of 2007, with the appointment of a new Acting Director, the upgrading and renaming of the online catalog, and the launch of a newsletter.
-
Dean Joan G. Wexler appointed Victoria Szymczak Acting Director of the Brooklyn Law School Library, effective July 1, 2007. She has served as the law School’s Electronic Information Specialist since April 1996. She has assisted with virtual classroom initiatives for the faculty and has coordinated cross-departmental projects between the Technical Services and Public Services departments in the library with the IT department. She has also been instrumental in collection development issues concerning electronic titles.
- In honor of the late Professor Sara Robbins, Director of the Brooklyn Law School Library for over two decades, the Library has upgraded and renamed the online Brooklaw Catalog. Now known as “SARA,” the database allows users to search the Library’s holdings for books, periodicals, online resources, microforms, and more.
Access SARA from the Library’s main page on the Internet.
- In August, the Library launched INFORM, a biannual newsletter posted on the Library’s General Information page. The newsletter, which will be published once each semester, addresses recent developments at the Library as well as developments in research and important new acquisitions.
Read INFORM online.
