Brooklyn Law School’s Immigration Law Team took First Place at the Second Annual Immigration Law Competition held at New York University, February 23-25, 2007. Ashley Caudill ’08 and Jessica Maroz ’08, coached by Chris Prior ’07, bested Hastings in the Quarter-Finals, Georgetown Law in the Semi-Finals, and Harvard in the Finals.
More moot court teams brought in impressive performances in recent competitions. The Trademark Team won Third Place and Best Oralist Team at the International Trademark Association’s Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition. The First Amendment Team made it to the Semi-Finals and also won Second-Best Brief at the First Amendment Moot Court Competition sponsored by the First Amendment Center and Vanderbilt University. The ABA National Team were Regional Finalists at the ABA’s National Moot Court competition. The Sports Law Team won Second Place and Second Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate at the Tulane Mardi Gras Invitational.
