A forthcoming Yale Law Journal article co-written by Professor Edward Janger and Professor Melissa Jacoby of the University of North Carolina was recently featured in the press, including Bloomberg and the Wall Street Daily Bankruptcy Review. The professors propose the idea of “ice-cube bonds,” which can help companies in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protect themselves during the process of quickly selling assets.
Professor Edward Janger was nominated to be a Member of the International Insolvency Institute, a non-profit limited-membership organization in the international insolvency area that is making a significant contribution to improvements in the international system for cross-border and multinational reorganizations and restructurings.
Professor Edward Janger will present a paper at the University of Tennessee Behavior and Business Law Conference on October 2. Joined by a panel of experts from universities across the countries, Professor Janger will discuss consumer credit protection and behavioral economics.
Professors Edward Janger and Derek Bambauer hosted a reporters roundtable with over a dozen international reporters at Brooklyn Law School to discuss U.S. and E.U. privacy rules and their impact on business practices. Professor Janger articulates in the E.U. Oberserver answers to jurisdictional questions about data protection.
